Each encounter gives you the chance to purchase valuable items directly, with Omens sometimes reaching five Divines in value. It’s fast-paced and scalable, making it a must-do in nearly any map.
- Breach + Delirium
This hybrid strategy is a raw currency powerhouse. Stacking multiple breaches with deep Delirium layers results in a flood of mobs and loot. It’s particularly effective for players who want pure currency drops rather than market-dependent items. The synergy between Breach and Delirium creates chaos—and riches—on the battlefield, earning it a solid place in the S tier.
- Samas (Sketches)
Samas, often overlooked due to its repetitive nature, is a hidden gem of profitability. It generates a large number of jewels—some of which can sell for a significant amount. It’s RNG-heavy but worth it when run efficiently. If you can stomach the repetition and optimize your runs, this could be one of the most lucrative options available.
- Citadel Farming
Citadel farming has quietly risen to the top-tier category. You can find up to four Citadels per hour if you optimize your mapping, and they provide entrances to lucrative boss fights like Arbiter. I averaged two Divines per hour just from basic mapping while farming Citadels, making this strategy both passive and powerful. Ticket prices are high and expected to increase, making this method increasingly valuable.
A Tier – Highly Profitable with Caveats
- Chaos Trial
Despite being undervalued by some, Chaos Trial remains a strong and stable way to earn currency. It’s relatively consistent, offering three to five Divines per hour. The only downside is that it can be time-consuming and repetitive. Still, its reliability earns it a comfortable spot in A tier.
- Tier 4 Zash
Tier 4 Zash offers fast and consistent rewards, especially in the form of rare and expensive rings. Although the need for a bridge stone makes it slightly slower, the profit margin remains excellent. With some optimization, Zash can easily push close to S-tier levels.
- Tier 4 Arbiter
This one is a bit tricky. In ideal conditions—with the right build and enough capital to cover entry fees—Tier 4 Arbiter could be an S-tier strategy. However, it’s currently very expensive to access and heavily bottlenecked by entrance ticket costs. It’s A-tier material for now, but only for well-prepared players.
- Expedition
Expedition is a solid A-tier farm due to the upcoming buffs to logbooks and strong demand for Expedition materials. It drops a healthy mix of rares and raw currency, and you can either run the logbooks yourself or sell them for a tidy profit.
- Logbooks
While logbooks are a standalone strategy, they share a lot in common with Expeditions. Buying and running logbooks can yield solid rewards, especially after the buffs. Their placement in A tier reflects their potential more than current performance—but they're already quite good.
- Simulacrum
Simulacrum farming has stabilized as a strong A-tier method. It drops high-tier rares and provides a gambling element via jewels. However, the overall value is often limited by RNG, and flask drops are less meaningful in the current economy. Still, it’s one of the best content-focused farms.
B Tier – Solid, But Not Standout
- Map Bosses
Map boss farming used to be top-tier, but in the current economy, it’s taken a backseat. The demand for high-tier rares has dropped, and better sources for rare items exist. It’s still decent but no longer exceptional.
- Delirium Mirror
Delirium Mirror maps are consistent but somewhat dull. The currency gains are there, but the strategy lacks the raw explosive returns of Breach+Delirium. It's almost A-tier, but the cost-benefit ratio is just slightly underwhelming at the moment.
- Storm Box Farming
Storm Boxes are divisive—some love them, others don’t see the value. I’ve found them to be a decent supplemental strategy, especially when paired with Breach or Expedition. They drop occasional Divines, but the inconsistency holds them back.
- Spear Farming
Spear farming once ruled the meta, but now it's fallen from grace. Changes to spawn mechanics and location have made it unreliable. It’s still viable but feels inconsistent and RNG-heavy. Expect this one to continue declining unless something changes.
- Tier 4 King
While not terrible, Tier 4 King is no longer a top boss farming option. The key unique item, the Ingenuity Belt, has dropped in value, making this farm less lucrative. Go with Zash or Arbiter if boss killing is your goal.
C Tier – Niche and Inconsistent
- Visps
Visps are unreliable. Occasionally, you’ll get a valuable talisman, but most of the time, it’s underwhelming. I can’t recommend this as a primary farm, but it’s not quite as bad as D-tier.
- Essence Farming
Essences have long been a staple for early league crafting, but in the current state of PoE2, they simply don’t cut it. Low returns, low excitement, and limited scalability make them a poor investment of your time.
- Cleanse Map Farming
This strategy revolves around Fracturing Orbs and high-tier gem drops. Unfortunately, it’s not profitable enough to justify a primary focus. Like essences, it’s more of a supportive mechanic than a real farming method.
D Tier – Avoid These Strategies
- Rogue Exiles
Rogue Exile farming is completely broken and practically worthless. Bugs, poor spawn rates, and terrible drops make this the absolute worst method. Don’t waste your time here.
- Gold Farming + Gamble
Farming gold just to gamble it away is more of a meme than a strategy. You’ll earn gold with almost every other method anyway, and gambling for profit is wildly inconsistent. If you’re serious about currency, skip this.
