Rams fire offensive coordinator Frank Ci

The offense has been one of the worst ones in the NFL all season and now, offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti has paid the price.The team announced on Monday that Cignetti has been fired after just 10 months on the job."We thank Frank for his hard work and dedication over the past four years," coach Branden Leon Jersey Jeff Fisher said in a statement. "We wish him the best moving forward."Cignetti was hired by Fisher in 2012 to serve as the Rams quarterbacks coach. After three years at that position, Cignetti was promoted to offensive coordinator in February. The promotion turned out to be a disaster for Villanova Wildcats Jersey Cignetti, who basically had to somehow figure out a way to devise an offense that could work with either Matt McQuaid Jersey or at quarterback. That didn't happen though, which has been evident in the Rams' offensive struggles.The offense has been especially ugly during the Rams' current five-game losing streak.Including , the Rams have only averaged 10.3 points and 275 yards per game over the past five weeks. Overall, the Rams offense ranks 31st in the NFL, ahead of only the 49ers. After the Rams lost to the Cardinals on Sunday, Fisher admitted that he as far as improving his offense. Fisher will likely be hoping that Rod Smith Jersey new offensive coordinator Rob Boras can provide a spark.Boras, 45, has spent most of his coaching career has a tight ends coach. His first NFL job was in Chicago, where he coached Bears tight ends from 2004- Austin Davis Jersey 09. Boras then moved on to Jacksonville, where he coached Jaguars tight ends in 2010 and 2011.Before the 2012 season, Boras was added to Fisher's staff to coach tight ends. Boras was promoted to a sistant head coach in February, and now he'll also serve as the team's offensive coordinator.
