Belial's History in the Diablo Series
    Pre-Diablo 3: Belial was just another demon lord until he and Azmodan led a rebellion against the Prime Evils, banishing them from Hell.
    Diablo 3: He took control of Caldeum, posing as Emperor Hakan II before being exposed and defeated.
    Post-Diablo 3: After his soul was trapped in a Soulstone, he remained dormant until his release, setting the stage for his return in Diablo 4.
With Lilith's downfall, Belial is seizing the opportunity to claim power, possibly working in the shadows while other demons like Andariel and Duriel allied with cheap Diablo 4 Gold Lilith. His reappearance in Season 9 suggests he's finally making his move.
