Career Mode Revamp
EA has significantly overhauled Career Mode to recapture its former glory. New features include Live Start Points, which let you start from the current real-world season, and an offline-only Simulation option that incorporates real-life weather and wind effects. As the second entry in the franchise without the FIFA branding, EA Sports FC 25 promises exciting new gameplay features. The preview video highlights the new FC IQ system, revamped player roles, goalkeeper play styles, and more.
The FC IQ system, described as "a complete overhaul of the game's tactical system," offers deeper tactical play, giving players more control over team tactics. "FC IQ can emulate a favorite manager's tactics," says gameplay producer Paul Parsons, using an example inspired by Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti.
Additionally, EA has introduced Player Roles in FC 25, allowing you to assign roles to players based on the situation and your strategy. "We built an out-of-game AI model to identify which Player Roles fit players in FC," Parsons explains, noting that some players will have indicators showing they are either accomplished or world-class in their roles.
Smart Tactics is another new feature that will automatically provide tactical suggestions as the game progresses. You can share these tactics with friends or followers using a code system.
FC IQ will be integral across all modes, including Clubs and Career Mode, with more detailed updates coming soon. "FC IQ will influence core systems in Career Mode relating to Transfers, Scouting, and the Youth Academy," says producer Thomas Caleffi, enhancing squad building and development beyond just OVRs.
EA Sports FC 25 is set for release on September 27, 2024, with preorders open now. Early unlocks and additional bonuses are available for those who preorder the game.
